My Random Thoughts so far:
-It took me 15 minutes during setup to parse through the privacy setting options. From sharing my real name, to social features, to team invites? When did this all get so complicated?
-The controller is really cool. I figured haptic feedback was a marketing gimmick, but the feedback really adds an extra layer of immersion and control.
-There are way too many video games. I feel like I have 7 years of games to catchup on and a relatively short window before the more heavy hitting PS5 games come out. There was also like 5 different farming simulator games. Farmers Daughter, Farmers Omelet, Farming Empire... why are there so many farming games? Why are there yearly updates for farming games? Does farming change that much year to year?
-Astros Playroom is a blast. I have been grinning like an idiot for most of it so far. It feels like a cross between Super Mario 64 and Wii Sports.
-I learned the hard way that Playstation Plus and Playstation Now are separate services. I bought a year of Playstation Now by mistake.
-Overall, I'm really enjoying it. Up until two days ago, I was actively playing my PS3. It'll be interesting playing an NHL game where Iginla isn't on the Flames.

My PS5 finally arrived, but it came with a dead USB-C cable. Spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what was wrong, but swapped the cord with another one, and it worked fine. Scary start, but am having a blast with the system so far!

Any other PS5 owners having issues with the disc drive making a loud noise for 10-20 seconds every 30-60 min? I was just watching Disney+ with my daughter and it made that noise and happens every time I boot the machine up and periodically after that. Seems common but not normal for everyone.

It hasn't been every 30-60 minutes but every once and while it will along with when I turn it on. It's pretty much the only complaint I have about the PS5 after a couple days of use.

Just out of curiosity is there a disc in the system? I haven't had this happen but I have no disc based games yet.

Yes I have Spider-Man Miles Morales in the console. I just was playing for about 2.5 hours and it happened 3 times once when I booted the system and a couple of times while playing. I will take the disc out and see if that does anything.

I have an issue with it right when I turn the console on and the disc drive kicks into gear but other than that nothing.

My PS5 doesn't make that high pitched noise fortunately. It sounds more like a noisy drive. From my experience the PS5 is louder than the series X in every way.

I have a digital PS5 and feel like it’s almost silent, don’t really notice it at all.
Finished 100% on Miles Morales and unlocked everything I can before starting NewGame+. I feel like it was an improvement on the original and they made Miles really feel unique.

I finished the story last night and currently 91% complete. It was a nice update and I hope they release a DLC because it just wasn’t long enough.
I am going to start a NewGame+ for the remastered version but I definitely got used to and am going to miss venom attacks.
I agree with your take it was a nice update to a great game with a unique feel. I think this is one of the best launch titles I can remember for the PlayStation

Yup this is exactly what happens for me as well. 1-2 times per hour for 10-20 seconds and otherwise it is quiet.
