I genuinely hate the Calgary Flames. What a clown show.

The Kings and Sharks could both pass the Flames tonight. That would be awesome.

Flames with an impressive 22 giveaways credited to them, had more giveaways than Winnipeg had shots.

So much Nesterov shade in the GT...
You all are just watching him wrong. Nesterov is an abstract-comedic-performance-artist.
To wit:
-Everyone realized that he was signed to a contract as an audition for 32 NHL teams. Everyone realized this, that is, except him.
-He was signed to play defence, but quickly decided to resurrect a position that hasn't been seen since the late 19th / early 20th centuries: rover.
-In a year that the Flames committed to the return of the retro jerseys, he chose to wear the number 89, in a direct troll-job of the fanbase.
Once I had this epiphany, I started to watch his play from the lens of "dramatic foreign film". It's been remarkably enjoyable.

I didn’t think the actual team could give less of a #### about this that I do, but credit where credit is due. They couldn’t care any less if they tried.

I've only been a fan since '99, but I was obviously aware of the young guns era and I think this is the lowest point in the team's history in terms of on ice and future performance. Largely because of expectation. This is us when we we're trying to win.
Not as bad as Save the Flames for the organization, but the worst pure hockey situation.
A total dud of a rebuild, total erosion of value in too many players. A weak pipeline. A GM who should already be fired. An organization who's consistently demonstrated reluctance to make changes at the proper time. And it all happening with no excuses about money and during a time when we were supposed to be winning.
This is bad. This is going to be a long road out, but this organization needs to get it's head out of its ass, accept reality and rip the band-aid off. It needs to start tomorrow.

Giordano played 25:12, was even, had 5 shots on goal, 2 hits, and 3 blocked shots.
That seems pretty good, all things considered.

I also liked Gaudreau tonight - I really think Gaudreau seems a lot more dangerous and much like his old self. Maybe it is because he is the only player that seemed remotely dangerous tonight?

Pretty sad effort, as much as I'm still a fan of this team it's simply not a good team. I don't see how Treliving keeps his job. They need to start making changes and relieving upper management of their duties tomorrow and not even wait till the season is over.

Trying to figure out what is worse. Firing a GM over disagreeing with a tweet, or not firing one that can’t ice a competitive roster after having high picks and multiple years to build?
Ya.

haha. at the end of the post game interview, Sutter whispered to himself after an Eric Francis question: "what kinda question is that?".
