Yep Lowry has played 456 NHL games and likely has less than 10% of his ice time against 3rd and 4th line players.
Ryan in his 340 NHL games likely has likely had less than 10% of his ice time against 1st and 2nd line players.
If you want a valid comparison then pick Backlund who plays against the other teams best players like Lowry. Backlund with his 30-40 5 on 5 pts has out produced Lowry by a fair bit... Not so much this year.
The Flames have the 32 year old Backlund locked up for the next 3 years at 5.35 M ... 2 M a year more for his scoring. Lowry will be 33 at the end of his contract.
Backlund is never going to
stand up to Ryan Reaves as Lowry has so there is that.
