We might see that Brodie for Barrie swap happen after all in a roundabout way.

I’m surprised to see so many people bothered by this. Brodie is a good defensemen but he doesn’t play defense very well. It’s time we move past having such a soft backend that doesn’t shove out the opposition.
And just to confirm, I don’t want Barrie here either. He’d do basically what TJ did but he’s a right shot. I’m still counting on a big move coming, and hopefully putting Pietrangelo back there.

Considering that almost every TJ flub ends up in the back of the net we are going to be seeing him a ton on TSN next year.

Damn. Probably a pretty reasonable contract as well given the Leafs cap space

Francis immediately talking about Brodie making bone headed plays. That was a narrative for 1 year here, and he just had a great year with Calgary again...
Francis arrogantly says he was one of the only guys defending him 2 years ago. Conveniently skipping that he also had a hit piece on Brodie when TJ didn't go play for Team Canada at the World Championships despite knowing about his wife's health concerns.

Well this sucks. He was a good soldier. Wish he picked a different team.

I believe he wanted to play for the Leafs, so I'm happy for him. I'm going to miss watching Brodie skate.

Yeah this hurts. Always a Flame, even after his Leafs stint. That is what he will be in the end.

Will always be one of my favorites. Will never forget his goal in Arizona several years back. Pure class #7 is.
Glad he's going home if he wasn't going to sign with Calgary.

It's been pretty true his entire career, the good has just outweighed the bad.
