Icon28 Wings extend Robby Fabbri (2 yrs, $2.95 million AAV)

Could be a potential Mangiapane comparable. Fabbri was a good top-sixer in Detroit after being traded for Jacob de la Rose back in early November, scoring 32 points in 54 games

I always remember this name because he scored against the Oilers during Connor McDavid's NHL debut.

Fabbri scores and Kevin Quinn yells out "Connor McDavid's!!!!!! friend Fabbri scores", with the latter part of the sentence in his patented sad voice.

It's a $2.95M AAV.

$2.95 AAV for Fabbri. A little higher than I expected but he also has a better track record than Mangiapane. He was a good third-liner for the Blues during their 2016 WCF run before his injuries.

This is a contract designed to be traded.

Forget the contract. What a steal for Detroit!

31 points in 52 games after being dealt by StL. For Jacob freaking de la Rose, who was picked up on waivers by Detroit.

Mark Jankowski > Jacob de la Rose. Hope the reason why we didn’t get him was due to StL not wanting to trade within conference.

Would like to see us be more active with players like this. Guys that need a change of scenery to get their career going.

Sonny Milano another one. For Devin shore?

Given our lack of depth which absolutely hurt us in playoffs, need to start finding guys like these for pennies on the dollar.

Interesting bridge contract by the Wings. If he continues his trajectory, he can be due a big bump two years down the road.

I doubt very much that he's in their long term plans.

If he has the same season this year as he had last year he's maybe worth a 1st round pick at the next deadline.

I'm not sure he gets the minutes to produce 32 points on a good team or even an average team. Still happy for him. There were very high hopes for him here in St Louis until he blew out his knee twice. The Blues depth pushed him out of the top 9, and he wasn't suited for bottom line checking/energy role
