Loubo made a good point after the BOA win.

That was a big win but it's for naught if you lose the next one. This isn't a must win but if the Flames want to win the division, you really would like to use this as a springboard to create some separation.

Exactly, now they they are in the lead they need to set the pace. Now is when you start collecting wins to put pressure on the teams chasing.

I don’t think that is a great point, because while players need to focus only on their next game for the coaches and the team there needs to be a longer view of things. It would be all for naught if the Flames lose two of these remaining three games. But if they lose tonight but win in TO and Ottawa, that’s still a successful road trip. It’s all for naught if they go on a slide, not lose a single game.
I am always hoping for the win, but the Flames have always struggled v. Montreal. Just one of those teams.

This will be a deceptively tough road trip.

Montreal is a tough building. How many wins in TO do the Flames have over the past few years? Then Ottawa on the last day of the trip, right before the break and an afternoon game to boot? Trap game.

Sure it will be great to win tonight but i'm not going to be terribly disappointed in not winning.

The real goal was on Saturday night. Mission Accomplished!

Should be a fun game tonight. I have a feeling that Gaudreau will be at a Point Per Game rate before the season is done.

The point is exactly that it is just one game. If you take your foot off the gas because of one win, then you have accomplished nothing.

That is a better point, yes.

It isn’t one game, we’re unbeaten this decade. And that one game being a division game against a close team is more important than tonight’s non-divisional game.

To suggest losing tonight makes Saturday’s win for naught is just wrong.

We’re one point up on the Canucks who have a game in hand. Let’s not let them pass us, damn it.

Lol you're just a ball of negativity, eh? Nothing wrong with it, it's just interesting how some folks choose to approach games this way.

Hoping for a strong showing from Rittich in his return.

He is not wrong, though. The Flames have one win in their last five v. Montreal going back to 2017.

This would typically be a trap game for the flames... Coming off a massive, emotional Nd physically charged win against a big rival.

Habs suck though, flames really should win the game!

4 years ago tonight, young Sam Bennett scored 4 goals in one game. I predict he will be half as good tonight. Flames 5 Habs 2
