Flames sign Rasmus Andersson to 6 year extension ($4.55 mil AAV)

Andersson spent his first two professional seasons with the Flames affiliate in Stockton where he scored 12 goals along with 49 assists for 61 points and 79 penalty minutes in 110 games and was named to the 2018 AHL All-Star Game.

Rasmus Andersson's contract extension with the #Flames includes a Modified No Trade Clause in years 5 and 6 (would be UFA years) of the deal in which he can provide the club with a '6 Team No Trade' list.

Already seeing comments on Twitter, etc that this is an overpayment. I think not.
Honestly, I think this will be a bargain by years 2-3. Andersson has the potential to be a #1 guy.

This is amazing!
Rasmus has been quietly the Flames best defencmen this season. Very rarely do you watch him and see a puck in the back of the net as a result of a Rasmus mistake.
