Also, AnonymousStranger, If you are not in China(where I assume there would be no way to watch this documentary) I highly recommend you give it your time. might open your eyes a bit. If you are in China and are unable to watch it, perhaps you should take a minute to ask yourself why that would be the case.

Here’s a nice video of the rioters beating a guy for speaking mandarin that just happened today. Oh my god, I’m so sorry for not following the western media narrative. What I meant to say is here’s a video of undercover CCP agents beating someone. We wouldn’t want to damage the reputation of those wonderful rioters now would we?
So, again, are you not picking up on the fact that EVERYONE agrees there are bad apples in any protest group. You seem to be cherry picking the few worst instances and applying them to the entire protest.

So is this. Protester gets beaten unconscious by after he already surrendered as part of the Nathan Rd. roundup yesterday where cops drove mini vans into a crowd of protesters.
Also cases of medical, and police whistleblowers claiming rape of protesters in custody. KBS (Korea's national broadcaster) interview with police whistleblower. Police officer acknowledges the following:
Quote:
At least two cases of police suspected of raping demonstrators that were confirmed by medical staff, however the actual number of victims maybe much more including various physical abuses, child abuses.
During the Yuen Long attack the police ordered the delay to police response in a political attempt to make the public value and depend on the police again.
The 15 year old Chan Yin-lam death investigation was forcibly changed by the police, prohibiting internal investigations of murder, instead ruling the corpse discovery as suicide.
From the HK police's own numbers, 4000 protesters have been arrested so far and only 1 police member has been has been investigated. At today's press conference the HKPF changed their slogan.
Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York, the top Democrat in the Senate, called the unanimous vote "a resounding message to the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi that the United States stands with the democratic protesters in Hong Kong."

A former employee of the UK's Hong Kong consulate has told the BBC that he was tortured in China and accused of inciting political unrest in the city.
Simon Cheng, a Hong Kong citizen who worked for the UK government for almost two years, was detained for 15 days on a trip to mainland China in August.
"I was shackled, blindfolded and hooded," the 29-year-old tells me.
Really love this video of an old lady in HK cleaning up after the protestors and just laying into the kids while doing it. Reminded me of my mom lecturing me when I was young!
"I know I can't make a difference, but I'm still going to do it.", she says at one point.
Leaked documents detail for the first time China's systematic brainwashing of hundreds of thousands of Muslims in a network of high-security prison camps.
The Chinese government has consistently claimed the camps in the far western Xinjiang region offer voluntary education and training.
But official documents, seen by BBC Panorama, show how inmates are locked up, indoctrinated and punished.

If brainwashing means removing any inclination towards religious extremism and killing innocent people in the name of jihadism, then brainwash away I say.
Why wouldn't someone who is brainwashed celebrate brainwashing. At least the people in China don't have a choice, they're stuck with only one source of information. People like this AnonymousStranger who have access to outside information and still sheep it up are just embarrassing.

Also, HK city council elections had record turnout and the Pro Democracy side is smashing the Pro Beijing side. So there goes that support for Beijing narrative.

I assume this means you haven't watched the documentary I linked to earlier. That's a shame, otherwise you'd be stuck justifying why they need to remove children from families and brainwash them, too. It would make your current position rather embarrassing...

I’m almost positive those messages aren’t showing up on their end.
Hong Kong has shown overwhelming support for the protesters. Massive turnout for district elections, which were widely seen as a litmus test for the protests. A 100% increase in voter turnout for these local elections saw “total annihilation” of pro-Beijing politicians with 347 seats going to pro-democracy candidates and only 60 to the pro-China candidates.
