Egypt’s Islamist-dominated parliament is set to introduce a law allowing husbands to have sex with their dead wives up to six hours after death. Critics fear that the controversial law highlights a trend of increasingly anti-women legislation since the so-called Arab Spring
How does this increase anti-women sentiment? Do they mean they can kill their wives then have sex with them? It's weird, I'll give them that, and I have no idea who would actually do this, but I'm not sure how this is anti-female, exactly.

The law was first introduced in a fatwa (Islamic law) issued by a Moroccan cleric last year. Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death. He also said that women have the right to have sex with their dead husbands.

It's all about consent. The fact a man can just chose to have sex with a woman's corpse legally without her consent is pretty gross. It further objectifies them and treats them as though they are a possession of their husband.

Thats not surprising, one reports it and everyone jumps on board. My friend watches Egyptian satellite and said the programs he watches are anti-islamist/muslim brotherhood and they haven't mentioned such a potential law.
