Reinhart may Ben an AHL calibre defencemen but that doesn't mean he won't be in their lineup.

What makes the trade worse is what it represents. The first major move by Chiarelli was dictated to him by those that he replaced. The notion that the Oilers got a strong willed, autonomous and competent GM was dispelled immediately.
Left to his own devices, Chiarelli has the worst trade record of any working GM, and I don't believe it's close, but the fact that people above, beside, and below him can still pull strings is hilariously bad. Could you imagine if Flames management were a tangled bird's nest hierarchy of Daryl Sutter, Jay Feaster, Brian Burke, Brad Treliving, and Mike Keenan, all because Murray Edwards feels good hanging out with them all?
I guess if you can imagine that, you can imagine a 29th place team with 4 first overall draft picks, a 'generational talent', and no hope.

Looking more and more like this season will be another disaster in Oilville.
Lucic looks too slow to help out McDiddles. Reinhart is slow af. Pool Party not ready. The saviour can't seem to score if his life depended on it, just skate really fast and crash into nets. McLellan killing the NA team with terrible coaching (leaving injured Murray in and not informing the team of the implications of going to OT). By all indications, the old stink will indeed remain present in the new arena.
Not sure how Larsson has looked but not hearing glowing reviews, given that he's replacing Hall. Only bright spot I see is Nuge. He looks really good going into the season. Too bad his linemates will suck at playing the 200 foot game.

Look like Talbot was pretty awful tonight too.
I've said that I predict that the Oilers will be a major disappointment this year.
In their search for toughness, I think they're going to be a slow team. Sure they have guys with speed in their lineup. But you look at the other teams out there and they're all going to speed.
I just don't like the makup of that team at all.
I think that Lucic is going to be Chia's swan song.

At this point, I think I'd be happy with the Oilers drafting 1st overall again. If McDavid doesn't make a difference, nothing will.
