I...may have bought myself the Slave I. In fairness, I had GC's from Christmas burning a hole in my pocket.

Random Lego question - so, I want to make a box out of Lego pieces. Does anybody know if krazy gluing pieces together make it sturdy, or would structures still be prone to breaking apart?

The new goggles also do nothing.

Gluing pieces together will certainly make it less prone to breaking apart compared to just assembling it, though a box is probably one of the things that would be least likely to break apart anyway.

Model glue would probably work even better, since I think plastic model glue is more like a solvent so the two surfaces actually combine to form a single piece of plastic once the solvent evaporates.

As per Lord Buisiness the Krackle works at gluing things together.

Thanks. It is just for a custom box I wanted to make. Some pieces I want to be able to take off, while the rest I would like permanently attached to one another.

Good idea about the model glue. It has been so long since I have put together any that I forgot how well it worked.

Lego lovers don't despair though; I only intend on 'kragling' together some old Megablock pieces that ended up with in our Lego collection - unless they have somehow become valuable collector items?

Thanks for bumping this thread. Just ordered the Batman Tumbler. I've never been so excited for LEGO. I've already set up a table in my basement and am looking forward to some quality build time

At Legoland this summer one of the builders said they use epoxy. No idea what kind though.

5 minute epoxy from any hobby store should work.

Was pleasantly surprised to see the VW bus was still available at the store in Chinook. Should look good beside my Mini Cooper.

The Super Star Destroyer has been retired. I'm quite bummed I missed that one, but there was just no way I could justify pulling the trigger on a $500 set.

Better to get it now (I'm pretty sure that the Chinook store has some) and spend the money than to wish you had bought it years later, and have to spend 4x as much.

That's the spot I'm in with the ISD. I would really, really like that set...but the cheapest I can find a used set for is $850+200 shipping/tax. I can't justify that at all.

But my SSD looks pretty damn awesome on it's stand.
