Default What kind of computers does your company use?

I'm trying to find out how many companies are out there that sell computers to businesses. So far I have Dell and HP. I need one more and as I dont work in the "business place" I don't know who else companies would use.

Also, if you use Apple can you explain where you bought them from?

In short, what computer do you use at your company?

Lenovo for me. I own the company so make the purchasing decisions and the Lenovo was highly recommended as high qualify and reliable. Cost is higher but I'm less concerned about that than reliability and quality.

We also use Lenovo here. But I also work for IBM, so that probably explains it.

Excellent. Exactly the answers I was looking for.

Haven't even heard of Lenovo before.

How would I cite CP for a source for a research paper? Haha

HP, which will never happen again.

Dell has the best laptops IMO.

Otherwise we custom build our desktops as we need certain parts for graphics work.

We are hybrid between Apple and Windows.

Our back end is exclusively Windows, while our client machines are mostly Apple. We do have a number of PC workstations, laptops are all Apple.

Apple purchases are made directly through Apple Canada (Markham, Ont.).

Our windows merch comes from various vendors.

Dell here, but cost is a far more important factor than reliability when it comes to desktops.

One of our partners is a Mac guy so we run a Mac server with a couple Mac laptops, everyone else (including myself) uses Dell desktops. If our software ran on OSX I am sure we would be a completely Apple office.

Dell here as well. Above is true for us since everything is source safed and stored on the network. My workstation is basically used just used to compile code and surf CP.

Dell. In the 10 years I've worked here I've had two laptops and 3 desktops. The desktops have all been great but both laptops have been somewhat lacking - both had slower response times than I'd like and my current one has crashed catastrophically twice in the 18 months I've had it. To be fair, that could just be because the company I work for buys the basic business "fleet" model. I've owned several Dells as my personal home computers and have never had any issues with any of them.

My entire industry (graphic design) is pretty much exclusively Mac and has been since the late 80s/early 90s.

It's hard to get a "deal" on Apple products unless you buy in volume, but I've found that the best price for individual purchases is usually through schools using your alumni card. That's how I buy everything for my business.

IBM sold off their personal computing division in the early 2000s to China, Lenovo is that company.

Thanks everyone for the help, it is GREATLY appreciated.

If anyone is curious as to why I'm asking, it's for a school project and I'm looking at how Apple can increase their market share in the business sector. I'm asking what you guys use as to see who Apple's competitors would be and outside of Dell I didn't really know of anyone, but it looks like Lenovo has a fairly large chunk of the market just from CP's small sample size.
