At the James Vaughters press conference he was holding up the striped throwback jersey, but instead of the throwback logo on the sleeves it was just the Stampeders horse.

Not sure if that is the change -- it would be underwhelming if it was -- but I heard the white jerseys would be matching (i.e. with the striped shoulder design). I guess we will see...

Nicely done. Removing virtually all black on the primary sets. Whites look a lot cleaner.

White face masks are new too I think.

Don't louse it up by wearing black pants with either of those two sets. All white and all red would look good once a season or so too.

Those red and whites (both sets) are a contender for beat uniforms in sports. Forget just the CFL. Those are lovely

I like everything but the white stripe on the red helmets which is a little too retro for my tastes.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing Sindani back in a Stamps uniform, I thought he was pretty good last season.

CFL Draft in a couple of weeks and the Stamps have picks 4, 22 and 24 in first 3 rounds.

Top 5 ranked are likely bound for the NFL.

I'm not sure leaving ESPN+ for CBS Sports is a positive for the league.

Well the $ is definitely more based on reports. And there are a lot more games being broadcast, which is a positive. CBSSN's reach isn't published, but is probably close to that of ESPNews, which is where most of the CFL games ended up.

The only downside I can see is if there the rest of the games aren't available down in the states, or are on a standalone service that is expensive.

I mean, why even have a salary cap if the fines are this meaningless?

Four teams have been fined by the CFL for exceeding the salary cap in 2022, including the two clubs that squared off in the Grey Cup.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts, Ottawa Redblacks, and Montreal Alouettes were found to have exceeded the cap following an audit from the league. Each team was fined in accordance with the amount by which they exceeded the cap.

Winnipeg was assessed the largest fine at $64,499 followed by Toronto at $49,735. Ottawa was fined $11,994, while Montreal was fined a paltry $794.

Yeah I knew there's no way some teams were cap compliant. You only have to look at the fines to see why teams do it. It's easily worth it for teams like the Bombers and Argos. The Bombers and Argos will just keep exceeding it because it's working for them. If the league wonders why fans consider it Mickey Mouse they only need to look at stuff like this.

So the two teams in the finals were both over the cap. Big surprise, especially when you look at all the players they signed.

Also, you know it’s a Mickey Mouse league when it takes them five months to figure out who was over the cap. Aren’t there only nine teams in the league? Is Randy plugging these numbers into a calculator himself?!?
