I am not saying Cooley hasn't been shaky since injury, but also if you watch the games everyone is out of position, turn overs are non-stop, you can almost see them give up when chasing the puck.
They seem to play lately with zero sense of urgency...unless they are short handed and you see the urgency come back. Even in Bishops post game interview, they sound defeated and he is the C.... the guy that should NEVER sound like that.... the loss should have him furious.
They seem tired but also if you read earlier in the thread, the last portion of the season is against teams that they consistently have issues with, add losing key players, add losing their coach and the writing has been on the wall.

Wranglers getting hammered tonight. 8-1 so far for CV, Sprong with a natural hat trick. Ignatjew got the start and gave up 5 goals on 16 shots. Cooley in now, so far 3 goals on 8 shots.

I’m at the game and the team is totally lifeless. They gave up seven goals in the second period. They’re deflated. Not sure if it’s coaching or lousy team chemistry. They are nothing like the juggernaut that they were in the first couple months of the season.

I guess we’ll see if they make any minor league trades before Friday. Players they may be moving on from next season.

To be fair, that was pretty unsustainable imo - guys playing better than they have ever played before. Hunt's next point is a career high. Bishop with career highs in goals and points. Duehr with a career high in PPG by a lot.
Cooley's career high in SPCT was .909 entering this season.

Kerins and Morton are RFAs. Both should be back next year unless they're traded or Morton leaves pro hockey for the corporate world (he has a master's degree in HR).

I get why people like Cooley for his infectious personality and unorthodox background, but hie's still more "project" than "prospect." He likely tops out at the AHL level.
Reminds me of another Flames farmhand in Levente Szuper, who was also largely self-taught.

Getting points were: Poirier (2a), Brzustewicz (1a), Kerins (1a), Solovyov (1a), Stromgren (1a), Hunt (1g), Ciona (1a), Barrie (1a), Kuznetsov (1g), Klapka (1g), Morton (1g), Aspirot (1g).
Cooley stops 30 of 36.
They are 1-6-2-1 in their last 10.

At 27 he's not really a prospect anymore. Even as a goalie.

Tulio's in the last year of his contract and probably doesn't figure long-term with the Penguins organization. Wranglers get a warm body in the meantime who may or may not be auditioning for a second chance.
