Yikes- the slide continues, with a 4-0 loss to the San Diego Gulls. They are now 2nd in the Pacific Division (3rd by win %), 2nd in the Western Conference (4th by win %), and 6th in the league (11th out of 32 teams in win %).

While winning is great, having a lot of the top players moving up and contributing at the NHL level is want you like to see. The team will be replenished in due course. In the meantime, you hope the remaining players continue to develop. A little adversity is a great learning experience.

With NHL trade deadline approaching, the organization usually makes a small minor league swap or two. Last year it was Riley Damiani (who dat?) for Emilo Pettersen.

For half a season Cooley was playing like Wolf, but ultimately he is not Wolf and now the foundation of the Wranglers for the last couple seasons that was built on Wolf has crumbled.
