You're not the only one. They are neat and all...the first couple of times you do them, but unless they can help me upgrade or gain experience I don't really do them again.
I'll hunt animals to craft boosts, but I'm not bothering with it if I don't have to.

How do you know which weapons are worth swapping?
There's been a few times where it asks me if I want to swap my gun with a guys I just killed, but I'm worried I may actually be trading down.

Hunting’s great. Invest hours in to hunting the requisite animals so you can craft a badass coyote scout jacket, only to have every NPC in the game taunt your fashion sense.

Your gun will always be saved to the horse. If you pick up a dud just hop on your horse and go back to your old weapon.

Online's economy is broken. You barely get any money from doing jobs and everything is expensive as hell.
Apparently you sell a gold ring for less than the cost of a can of beans.

I wasn’t planning to play online anyway but the blatant cash grab of the economy means I definitely won’t.
I know they’re not going to give us any new single player content either so I’m savouring the experience and immersing myself in the world. I’ve only just started chapter three and I’m doing a lot of hunting and fishing. It’s probably going to take me months to finish.

Yeah I could never get into GTA online and never planned to play RDR2 online much, but I was likely to give it a shot. Now I likely won't bother

Sounds like they are going to patch it based on feedback from the beta.

Patch is due by weeks end...
Online is awesome, it's the most fun I've had with a Rockstar title since the early days of GTA 5

TBH I think the Economy is fine right now. I'm dreading when people start unlocking sniper rifles/high powered weapons that can instant kill.
I haven't dealt with a dildo who thinks he's the man in black shooting up the town and anyone who rides by.
So far the more expensive economy is keeping players in check and making it an enjoyable experience for everyone.

I could never figure out the point either. It was just people driving around killing other players

For RDR2 online there are missions you do, and you can actually try and twart other groups doing the missions. That's pretty fun.
There are other things to do as well but I haven't really explored it a whole lot.

I was away for two weeks on vacation, and while the vacation was awesome, now that I'm back, I SUCK at this game again. It's like those first painful hours all over again. I can't ride my horse at a decent speed without hitting stuff, and I've lost all menu wheel muscle memory. And I'm getting my ass kicked in this mission that I forgot to bring a decent gun for.

I'm definitely enjoying this game the more I play it and learn the nuances.
However, I was thinking just how ridiculous the maps and directions are in the game. Specifically referring to treasure maps. If you've done the first Jack Hall Gang treasure you know what I'm talking about.
How is anyone supposed to figure out where to find it based on the silly little treasure map you're given? Thank Xenu for YouTube.

I’ve done parts one and two of the Jack Hill gang treasure map with no help. It’s definitely doable. And quite satisfying when you accomplish it!

If you figured out where to go up that spot, where to climb down, and where to shuffle along the edge and make that jump just from a map then you might be one of them mentalists.
