Organize a protest to shut down a food truck run by two white chicks selling Mexican food for the unforgivable sin of cultural appropriation.

I want to try this place. I’ve heard it’s great but its name sold it right away.

Which is funny because arguably the best restaurant in town is "appropriated"

To the OP. go to Pok Pok. Order the spicy duck.

Luc Lac is amazing for Vietnamese. Pok Pok is good too. Pepe le Moko is fun for cocktails. The Japanese Garden is beautiful. The rose garden too. Powell's is a must see. Lots of fun food trucks. Fashion too, if y'all are into that kind of thing. Portland is a great spot.

I've never been to Portland, but Pok Pok is probably the reason I'd go at all.

Ground Kontrol is worth a few hours of fun. Almost all the games still cost a quarter and they serve booze. https://groundkontrol.com

Amazing place. I was able to go on 3 runs and walked around the city in the pouring rain.

Pok Pok was amazing. Lac Loc was great too.
Afruli was the best.

The Microbreweries were amazing. Calgary’s are better though.

This, I live in the burbs, if my office wasn't downtown I would NEVER go into the city. It's littered with trash, human feces and used needles (I call them Portland Easter Eggs).

Go see the Gorge, check out Mt Hood, go to the coast but I'd avoid Portland itself.

I’m in Portland this week - what is new and exciting? Best live music venues?

I saw the “little” Powell’s Books on Hawthorne- can’t wait to see the big one today.

Pok Pok did not survive Covid.

Steeplejack brewing was pretty cool. Good beer and in an old church.

Otherwise Portland was pretty forgettable. Honestly can’t remember what other fun things we did and it was only a year ago.

Best clam chowder I've ever had was here: https://goo.gl/maps/6pot5Z3dE4ZUR1Je9

That was back in 2008 though..

I always have a great time in Portland. I really love the DIY attitude towards the food and drink. It's not the most exciting city in the world, and definitely has its grimy parts. That being said, noting beats a day walking around Portland sampling beers and cured meat. The place just does patio season right.
