Well, now I know why my friend rated the movie 12/10.

Jennifer Connelly is pretty much the only reason I would consider seeing the new Top Gun, kinda don't care.

Everything, Everywhere was ok. Not nearly as good as reviews suggested.

The Northman is my favorite movie of the year so far, have seen it twice in the theater so far.

I'm not a big nik- guy but she won me over in this movie. She is a good looking lady to be sure. Also, Top Gun Maverick was great. Go see it.

Everything, Everywhere is a really good movie.

I'm looking forward to seeing The Northman.

I don't care about Jennifer Connolly but Maverick seems like the sort of thing that 4DX was made for so I'm going to give that a shot as soon as I'm able to do so (without infecting the theatre with this new plague I've somehow acquired).

Top Gun.... the action was 10/10. The non-action was so cheesy and cringe. 3/10

Like the baby goose bar piano scene....

Watching the Italian Giallo film Tenebrae for the first time and it blows my mind how good the theme is.

Goblin is great obviously, but still:

Justice sampled it for this song:

Top Gun is so good.

Rarely are movies an experience in the theater any more. That one was an experience.

You can't beat practical with movie making. You really can't.

The meat/action was so good that I'll overlook that scene every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

That's a surprising opinion, I've thought many films in the recent years have been excellent theater experiences.

Also if you're a fan of Honest Trailers and Top Gun, you'll love their video.

Which ones?

There have been a lot of CG-fests. Usually takes me right out of the movie. Makes it way less ..visceral? in those tense action sequences than what you get in TG where you can practically feel the Gs exerted on the actors.

Also I love how Top Gun had a nameless villain country because they didn't want to piss off the world box office total! lol

Russia should have invaded 3 years earlier...

I'm just going to call the Oilers with McDavid the 5th Gen hockey team from now on!

I liked the intentionally nameless country too.

Didn't go the route of making up a middle eastern or soviet-sounding fictional country which many films have done and is always an eye roller.

Edmonton Oilers 5th generation rebuild. Sounds not far off the truth.

Like what? Couldn't they be fighting the Nazis? lol

Or the Proud Boys?

The Lost City was so bad, I can't think of a single positive thing to say about it. Run in the opposite direction as fast as you can.
