My May birthday takes care of this problem for me. I will be openly sharing the idea of a new Cavs jersey as the perfect BD gift to both my wife & my Mom on an annual basis!

Given that none of the rosters are complete, it's way too early to take power rankings seriously. And having said that, I think if you swap Pacific and York I would agree with Platt based on the players announced to date.
It is also funny to see Ottawa having announced 0 players being ranked higher than Edmonton who have signed 17 players. I don't rate Edmonton at all; they have re-signed 14 players from an uninspiring mid table squad, will likely lose their best CB, and haven't brought in any high level talent to bridge the gap (although I hear good things about Lee). FC Edmonton is no good.

It's just a bit of fun.

Looks like the Cavs will have open trials from Feb 27-28. My guess is that it is also just a bit of fun.
No one made the roster from any of the team's open trials last year did they?

I thought Pepple was at the open trial, although he did not make the roster right away either.

Please tell me at least one Foot Soldier will attend these open tryouts. I nominate Jimmy Stang!

He was, yes. Signed for Foothills and then with Cavalry after a strong PDL season.

That ship sailed many, many years ago. I'm not sure there was even a ship.
But "unlimited anti-inflammatories" will definitely be a clause of my contract.

All this open tryouts talk has me inspired.
So, the Foot Soldiers are having our own open tryouts on February 29 at the Rose and Crown. Drills included are buying our merchandise, drinking beer, and proclaiming Edmonton is no good.

Yes, Pepple was the youngest player at the Alberta leg of the open trials.

Oh come on! Surely you can keep pace with Wheeldon? Cavs could use a stay-at-home defender, so you aren't supposed to be involved in those passages of play anyway. Think of the groupies!

Which Wheeldon?
You're right though...I figure if I don't go past half then I can't get caught out of position. I think you're onto somethin'.

So, is it a faux pas if I show up to the open tryouts in full kit?
I even have my name and number on my shirt! I'm making it easy for Cavalry. That has to count for something!
