With respect to your response, he’s not looking to fill a single idle day.
Im 4 days on 4 days off and when I’m off tour it can sometimes be difficult to either feel productive or simply ‘enjoy’ the time off on an ongoing basis because although being away from work is nice, it’s difficult for a busy body to continuously find ways to fill days. There’s always things to do: errands, yard work, gym, cleaning, etc. But that doesn’t take tons of time by consideration. And while downtime is wonderful, there’s sometimes only so much of it one needs without needing to fill the void.
I’m either working 12 hours, or I’m running around my kids to all their activities and squeezing in dinner and dog walks at night. But when I’m off tour and my kids are in school, it’s like going from one extreme to another. Unbelievably busy and nonstop to nothing but free time. It’s quite a contrast.
