I imagine that's the plan they had with Bichette the entire time. I am ok with it. Let him continue to perfect his defense in AAA, and he will subsequently rake, and force the Jays hand later this year.
It's a good problem to have with Bo.
Vlad, on the other hand, needs to lose weight.
As of right now I am higher on Bo than Vlad.

Bo is a bit undersized in height, no? Vlad's bat will ensure he's around for a very long time, but that weight will be a major factor very quickly. He's only 20 or so, and he's already packing it on. Someone has to be the bad guy and force him to exercise and eat right.

He's listed at 6 feet on baseball reference. Same height as Baez, a little taller than Lindor, an inch shorter than Boegarts and Gleyber Torres. Sure he skews on the shorter side of short stops but it certainly isn't a disqualifying physiological trait. (Barry Larkin was 6 feet tall too!).

Getting Vlad Jr. on track to where he should be physically may not be as easy as we would like to think. We are talking about an 18 year old phenom who just had to show up since he was 14. He’s also the son of a guy who had career earnings of over 125M so it’s not like the cash is a big carrot here either. Probably going to have to move him to first base and let him crush dingers from there which may not be a bad thing. All it hurts at 1st base is longevity and if he’s as good as everyone thinks he won’t be resigning in Toronto when they lose control at what could be a 35M-40M a year contract a couple years down the road with inflation.

6 years down the road. The Jays have him for his first 6 years. 3 at league minimum and 3 at arbitration if he isnt extended.

Two T's or not two T's? That is the question.

NO NORRIS: Adding to the Blue Jays’ misadventures Thursday, which had already included Ryan Tepera booking an appointment with surgeon Dr. David Altchek, John Axford being shut down for at least four weeks and Kevin Pillar being scratched with neck stiffness, was Bud Norris not pitching his inning.
Charlie Montoyo said the decision to shut him down came when the right-hander “was getting loose a little bit, just playing catch and didn’t feel right. We said hold on, let’s find out before he throws.”
The Blue Jays said there’s no injury and it may have been nothing more than the normal pitching soreness pitchers experience, but given the other injuries and the fact that Norris had an opt-out that expired at midnight Thursday, there was certainly a New Orleans Is Sinking kind of feel to the day.

Isn't Bud Norris kind of a prick? Seemed like a weird add for the Jays at first blush. Maybe the injury to Pillar will provide a call up opportunity for the likes of Alford?

LOL... this is such hyperbolic garbage. The thing about phenoms is that the vast majority don't get to that next level without a work ethic. Otherwise they just become Alexander Daigle. And if that's the case, the Jays won't have to worry about paying or playing him.
Pretty sure he didn't just "show up" and start raking.

Well look at that. Totally skipped it. Sorry!
“Also a day-to-day deal is Kevin Pillar, who was scratched from Thursday’s lineup due to a stiff neck. He homered Wednesday in an 8-7 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies.”

Well, that's baseball for you. Tomorrow's star today. Injury bust tomorrow. I don't particularly feel sad for these guys because they do get more money then I'll get in a lifetime, but when you're the 5th round pick, that must hurt to hang it up and resume normal life. These guys who've been drafted in the first have a nice cash windfall to begin normal life. If he decides to hang it up, best of luck to him as it is a tough decision to make.
