'Twas my first Stamps game in 18 years. The last three I attended were in Edmonton For the game after labourers. Before that I had not been to McMahon since'82.

Geez you would have loved the game that I called today in our opener. We won 42-0. I ran about 50 plays and passed 4 times.

Basically all you can do is take what the defense gives you. The Bombers were really aggressive against the Blitz, so you challenge the man coverage.

I didn't really like how the Stamps oline played the run today, though and since the run was going, its time to go over the top.

BTW, as an offensive coordinator, I've learned that the run game is pretty not sexy.

That was an amazing game by Mitchell. His timing was spot on. A couple of drops by receivers early on or he may have had over 500 yards.

This game was a excellent example of an average coach over-thinking things imo. MOS, has/had the best rushing team in the league and there was no commitment to the run game. Harris only carried the ball 7 times, sure there was nothing happening on those runs but you have to stay committed to that aspect of your offense. Matt Nichols is not good enough to be throwing the ball 40 + times a game.

Clearly mentally weak.

Bo is so off. Missing easy throws that elite quarterbacks make.

Defense has really struggled for a few games. They really miss Hughes.

Do you think this team is firing on all cylinders? I'd say no, thus the post.

They consistently make mental mistakes. Drops, misses, fumbles.

While they are winning, I truly believe they need to clean it up. In the playoffs, those mental mistakes make a difference between a grey cup and runner-up. As you know, we saw that last year.

There’s a big difference between a team not firing on all cylinders and a team that is “really struggling”

Could the team be better? Absolutely.

Do they deserve a whipping for their mistakes? No, especially with a 8-1 record, which is far and away better than the second place 6-4 Eskimos

The Stamps haven’t played half their season yet. Relax and enjoy the wins. It’s easier as a fan this way

Sweep!

https://www.stampeders.com/2018/08/2...-week-honours/

Quote:
The Calgary Stampeders claimed all three spots on the Canadian Football League’s players-of-the-week list for Week 11 as quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell, receiver Kamar Jorden and defensive lineman Ja’Gared Davis were all honoured for their play in the Red and White’s 39-26 victory over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

It’s the second time this season Mitchell and Jorden have received a player-of-the-week honour while it’s the first recognition in 2018 for Davis.
