Man, Conners can be so disappointing with the putter sometimes. If he could up his putting game I could see him winning 2-3 tournaments a year with his iron game.

Does anyone here watch PGA on sources that aren't a cable subscription? I'm thinking of cutting cable, not to mention Shaw's compressed crappy feed sucks the life out of a beautiful course on a 4k TV.
I saw online that you can get PGA tour live for free with Amazon Prime, through the app. Except I went into it and searched and nothing came up for PGA.

I have Roku, so if there's a service for PGA coverage through Roku I'd like that. Again, I searched in Roku and it just had random, weird results for one of tournaments in 2020.

According to this, PGA Tour is only available to US customers on Amazon Prime.
Quote:
The PGA TOUR announced that PGA TOUR LIVE, the PGA TOUR’s over-the-top subscription video service, is now available as a subscription on Prime Video Channels for customers in the U.S., with coverage beginning Thursday, Jan. 17 from the Desert Classic in Palm Springs, California. Amazon Prime members can sign up for PGA TOUR LIVE for $9.99 per month or $64.99 per season, with early bird season pass pricing of $49.99 available through Jan. 20.

Looks like they have something called golf TV, but its hard to get info on it. Even when you look at their sign up, it's literally just "sign up here" with no info on what you get.

Have you tried an OTA HD antenna? It's 1080i signal which is better than cable IMO.

Hadn't heard of it until now. The first link I looked up said you get 6 channels in Calgary? I'll keep poking around to find out more.

Mike Weir wins the Champions event in Houston (rain shortened to two rounds).
He was tied for the lead with Daly who dunked it on 18 to finish two back.
You could tell it meant alot to Weir. Good for him.

Damn, I didn't even watch either, cause I spent too much of my Sunday on yet another yawning PGA finish. (Although it was nice to see Sam Burns win his first).

Good for Weir. He really lost his game for awhile and had his troubles with injuries. But he looks good now, so hopefully this is the first of many to come.

The Premier Golf League, which was promising multimillion-dollar guarantees to top-ranked golfers to break away from the PGA and European Tours, has reemerged with big offers to Dustin Johnson, Justin Rose, Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson.
The Daily Telegraph reported that the "World Tour'' would begin in September 2022, likely forcing players to choose between the PGA Tour and the circuit that is backed by Saudi Arabia money interests.
Two agents who wished to remain anonymous confirmed to ESPN that the Premier Golf League is again courting players.
"It's still alive, and players and agents are just listening to their pitch," one agent told ESPN. "That's about it at this point. Just a lot of listening.''
According to the Telegraph story, there is plenty to consider.
The idea for a rival golf tour gained traction early in 2020, with talk of big guarantees and a team structure to create a star-driven tour that would play around the world. Originally, plans were for an 18-event schedule from January to September with 48-player fields and $10 million purses each week, with a season-ending team championship.
