I saw a rumour of Powell for Dinwiddie. That would have been a steal, tough Dinwiddie is out for the season. Wish that would have been the trade.

These offers suck, Masai needs to walk away or go back to Philly.

Matt Thomas for a future 2nd round pick to Utah. Not a high impact trade but makes sense for both sides.

What was the sudden fall off with Thomas this year? A second rounder seems appropriate. Would have been better to include him as a sweetener in a Lowry deal but I guess Masai and crew know better based on their offers received.

I also think they made the Powell deal to just focus on the Lowry one for the remaining time. We’ll see in this next half hour.

I think a lot of the fall-off had to do with losing Ibaka and Gasol meant we were much weaker at center, and so we couldn't mask bad defense on the perimeter as much. And Thomas got burned a lot this year early in the season when he got minutes. I don't remember if he was also getting burned last season and Gasol and Ibaka were good enough to cover, but I suspect that was the case.

Considering how bad the Heat and Lakers offers are I'd rather risk losing him for nothing. Trading for neutral or even negative assets is not worth it.

The holdup with Herro is probably the lingering of last years performance in Miami’s head. Last years performance really was a marketing dream for them. To me Lowry for him is a no brainer but if they don’t have to move him if they can play hardball, then why not.
On Masai’s end I hope the Raps play hardball themselves and don’t panic.

With all the roster spots they've opened though you have to think something will go down.

That's a win.

Oof. This one hurts a little. Given a chance the guy was worth it to keep. I’d argue a mid first would be his value based on his potential. Too bad he wasn’t given a vote of confidence this year.

He was the guy I thought might be packaged with Lowry as a sweetener.

Oladipo to Miami, so they're off the table.

Well the Lakers offer is trash so that's probably that.
Edit: GOAT confirmed

I believe in the Jays.

Odd choice to keep him. Would be interesting to know the offers we turned down.

Based off what was out there there were basically no good picks and no meaningful long-term players being offered. Trading him for the sake of trading him would have been terrible.

Yup. I guess the market demand isn’t that high for him all things considered. I’d have thought again the Heat were a good fit for him. I agree with the Raps holding him out of principle but why are the Heat not taking him on for the playoff push. So weird on the other teams’ end.
