I saw a truck (of course a truck) with a Canadian flag and a don't tread on me flag hanging out the back. Nothing shocks me anymore.

Went on a nice blocking spree earlier this year during the Covid Convoy with people (particularly from Alberta). They started flooding LinkedIn with **** Trudeau crap, and I called out posting political opinions on LinkedIn and how it should be saved for Facebook. Some even 'liked' my post before I blocked them. That was the head-scratching part.

I just report and mute the poster. If it becomes too common for a particular contact, I’ll ditch them. The only thing I want to see on Linkedin is tech stuff. I’d rather be inundated with messages from vendors than see political or patriotic or that influencer crap.

I feel dumb for asking, but that's supposed to be satire, right?

So. Um. Where are the Lucille-Wielding KKK?
What state are we talking about? California? Delaware?

Sadly, that is not satire...

He has yet to let us know how he knew they were Democrats under those hoods and how this is relevant today in any capacity.
EDIT: Oh yeah, the Democratic insignias...DUH!

Why are you dragging me into this? I didn't mention healthcare workers at all, you started that all by yourself with zero factual evidence. All I was getting at is that the US is not a great place to live right now if you value stability over getting the most money possible

I had to watch it several times just to make sure I heard this right:
"I would do anything, ANYTHING, to protect the lives of my 5 grandchildren, including, as a last resort, shooting them, if I had to, to protect the lives of my grandchildren."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the subject being shot in that sentence not the grandchildren? How are you protecting lives that you willingly kill????
The mind reels...
She goes on...
"Democrat bills want to take away my right, MY RIGHT, to protect my grandchildren (by shooting them in the head if necessary is the subtext here)"
Um yeah ya crazy bitch, I do want to stop you from shooting your own grandchildren. What a weirdo I am.

She's a wing nut for sure, but I have to think she had something different in mind when she said "them". The democrats or maybe a bogeyman "them" that takes her guns? Or maybe she would shoot her grandchildren if they wanted to take her guns?
Republican politicians seem to be trying to out-crazy each other as the path to winning primaries these days, so who knows?!?
Abortion is infanticide, but I'll shoot my grandchildren if you try to take my guns is going to be the 2022 GOP bumper sticker?

I noticed the same thing, my guess is that she was so 'frothing at the mouth' angry that she lost her train of thought and forgot how to read.
It doesnt really matter though, its just more batcrap nonsense.

Yep we should always go with the charitable interpretation. In this case "them" almost certainly referring to whomever is out to get her grandchildren, not the grandchildren themselves.
That said, still not sure why some old lady is fantasizing about people trying to get her grandchildren and shooting them in the head John McLean style. But the US is weird.

Nah, I'm all out of charitable interpretations of Republican rhetoric. They say what they mean and then they do what they say they will do, and mostly they're horrible things.
