Default Where to buy artificial turf? (old thread bump)

I looked at Rona and Home Depot and neither of them carried artificial turf. Anyone know where it is available?

No, because most people prefer not to have Astroturf as their living room carper

There's a place right beside my work out of Airdrie called Perfect Turf.

http://www.perfectturfgrass.com/index.cfm

Pretty sure this is their website. I managed to get a little square for my backyard so I can practice my chippnig without ruining my grass.

is it maintence free?

Was going to put some grass down for the kids to play on (mud sucks) maybe turf is better? Then I dont have to pick up all their toys before cutting grass

I guess it comes down to what kind of artificial turf are you looking for, and what you define as "artificial turf."

I've seen that cheap green outdoor carpet that you might put on a deck sold at Home Depot; but I don't think they sell anything that you could put down to play football or soccer on.

I have a client who installs this and it looks incredibly real. If I owned a condo or something like that were maintenance fees were an issue I would bite the bullet and go this route. It looks like normal grass and you have no issues that normally come with it!

Yeah, that's the stuff I am talking about. I need it for a terrarium. I guess I should try other Home Depots. I only went to the one in Shawnessy.

Usually the one in Shawnessy has more stuff than the one by me. I'll check the 130th one tonight as I drive by and let you know.

I just got this done today in our backyard. Kids are allergic to grass so it was a no brainer.

It looks amazing. I'm really impressed with the quality of work they did

Used the same company Sliver used and recommended

Home Depot, at least here in Vancouver.

Best price overall from all the spaces i've looked. I got it for my outdoor patio.

What are you using it for? You can buy those "artificial grass turf" carpets lots of places. People use them a lot for letting their dogs crap on them......not gross at all

We did about a 15' x 6' area for dogs to go on and bought it at Perfect Turf. It was pet specific..it has more holes, less odour or something, I can't remember exactly the difference but it looks great, most people think it's real. They did an excellent job. I highly recommend not cheaping out on artificial turf. In my opinion, nothing looks worse than glorified indoor/outdoor carpet for lawn.
