He was Seattle’s all star representative last year and hit 30 Homers. But cant hit for average and K’s a ton. Pretty much Rowdy Tellez. He’s also 6’0” 275 Ibs. So unless there’s an injury, or another trade coming, the Jays 1B/DH tandem is like the starting O-line for the Buffalo Bills.
Edit: beaten by Roof haha.

I can't remember who exactly it is (Bichette?) but I remember one game against Seattle Buck talking about how he's good friends with one of the young core players.
Vogelbach is basically Tellez, but he will take a walk. A bit more plate discipline. Not sure what he is like at first, but it doesn't matter Vladdy should be starting every game at first, if they want him to get better over there.
I want the Jay's to acquire all the fat baseball players and then field an entire team of chubbers. It would be like Blades of Steel..I always chose the fat guys.

I am OK with the pickup. I think he is a couple notches up in terms of plate discipline than Tellez, defensively he is pretty suspect though. If they could DFA Drury that would be more than fine with me. Definitely a lot of credit to Shapiro and Atkins on the Stroman deal, looking like they won that one, the Happ trade on the other hand....

For a change, the Rays make an unforced error with a wild throw, allowing Espinol to get second base from a routine grounder. Then Biggio with yet another line drive off the wall, and it is 6-4 Jays in the 9th
Then Romano gets it done in the bottom half.
Jays get the split in Tampa, and head home above .500 and in a playoff spot.

Drury, Espinal, Mcguire and Panik are all OPSing around .400. Absolutely terrible. Hopefully Vogelbach helps, and hopefully Fisher comes back and keeps doing what he was before his injury.
Jansen has also been abysmal at the plate, and now injuries are starting to eat away at the rotation which is probably going to weaken the bullpen in more ways than one. Pretty frustrating.
