He was Seattle’s all star representative last year and hit 30 Homers. But cant hit for average and K’s a ton. Pretty much Rowdy Tellez. He’s also 6’0” 275 Ibs. So unless there’s an injury, or another trade coming, the Jays 1B/DH tandem is like the starting O-line for the Buffalo Bills.

Edit: beaten by Roof haha.

I can't remember who exactly it is (Bichette?) but I remember one game against Seattle Buck talking about how he's good friends with one of the young core players.

Good pickup. No risk, cost no assets and gives a power option off the bench.

The Jays bench right now consists of Panik, Espinal, and Drury basically so this just gives them a potential weapon.

If he sucks, no big loss. Those other guys aren’t producing either.

Vogelbach is basically Tellez, but he will take a walk. A bit more plate discipline. Not sure what he is like at first, but it doesn't matter Vladdy should be starting every game at first, if they want him to get better over there.

I want the Jay's to acquire all the fat baseball players and then field an entire team of chubbers. It would be like Blades of Steel..I always chose the fat guys.

I am OK with the pickup. I think he is a couple notches up in terms of plate discipline than Tellez, defensively he is pretty suspect though. If they could DFA Drury that would be more than fine with me. Definitely a lot of credit to Shapiro and Atkins on the Stroman deal, looking like they won that one, the Happ trade on the other hand....

Well, you don't need 3 1stB/DHers on the roster. I wonder if this means a change for Tellez?

Vladdy with a nice RBI double. Stat line starting to creep into respectable territory now.

On tape delay, but love to see someone slap it where the shift ain't, like Biggio did in the 3rd.

And then Vladdy bangs him home! That's good baseball.

For a change, the Rays make an unforced error with a wild throw, allowing Espinol to get second base from a routine grounder. Then Biggio with yet another line drive off the wall, and it is 6-4 Jays in the 9th

Then Romano gets it done in the bottom half.

Jays get the split in Tampa, and head home above .500 and in a playoff spot.

I'll take a split for sure. I would have taken it before it started if I could.

So the Jays next 13 games are all against the Red Sox, Orioles and Marlins.

I mean honestly, the worst record you'd want to see in this stretch is like what...8-5?

Anything better than that and they should be in pretty good shape.

I cannot believe he was able to make the play before collapsing. He is a gaddamned hero!

Also, that commentary was pretty funny

That’s a big win for the Jays today. Cavan Biggio’s play at second today to get Wendle out was fantastic. The scoop by Vladdy was slick too.

Jays splitting that series was huge. Unless the wheels fall off, legit shot at playoffs is within reach.

Unexpected fun!

I would like to see them pick up one more quality bat. The bottom of the order is a dead zone.

Their bench is a complete dead zone as well.

Drury, Espinal, Mcguire and Panik are all OPSing around .400. Absolutely terrible. Hopefully Vogelbach helps, and hopefully Fisher comes back and keeps doing what he was before his injury.

Jansen has also been abysmal at the plate, and now injuries are starting to eat away at the rotation which is probably going to weaken the bullpen in more ways than one. Pretty frustrating.
