A good justice would be, he needs to play 30 min per game next time against the Flames.

Good god, no.

The game was fantastic because to was fast, intense, full of emotion, and because the Oilers somehow resembled a NHL team for a change. Wilfull assault added nothing to what was already one of the he best Flames regular season games in living memory, except to seriously endanger an unsuspecting player.

So much this.....I can't wrap my head around why everyone thinks Tkachuk is just a goon or that its acceptable to do this. Its crazy to me and the hockey world would be beside itself if the above scenario happened. Its ####ing embarrasing

People may hate tkachuk's personality and subtle chirpy antics but do you ever see him doing the kind of things kassian did last night? Nope.

Those hits are a part of the game. Was kassian a target? Yeah, clearly. But is being targeted with legal physicality wrong? Not at all, also part of the game. Tkachuk played within the confines of the rules. Kassian didn't, simply because he was getting embarrassed in that regard. That's his own fault though. Listen to your coach, take a number. Work on not being such a big damn easy target out there. Dont just go assault a guy and then follow it up with publicly hinting that you'll do it again. That's just pure stupidity.

The fact that Kasian did and was allowed to go as long as he did should result in at least a 3 game suspension.

It’s the first punch to the back of the head and the last two to the back of the head that warrants suspension.

You can’t punch a guy in back of the head. At that point it’s beyond what anyone signed up for.

LOL Oiler fans are such losers...

HFOiler they complain about Tkachuk targeting Kassian, so their get even move is to target Johnny?!

it freaking Kaveman Kassian... that's his GD role... it'd be different it Tkachuk was hitting Draistl like that, but he wasn't - he was hitting the Oilers goon all night.

Love how Oiler fans have their panties in a bunch.

Clean. Hit. Suck it Oilers fans

I am absolutely disgusted with what Kassian did and moreso the response of the hockey night in Canada panel that condoned it.
Can you even imagine the exact same circumstances this way. McDavid hits Lucic with a hard but clean hit, Lucic horse collars McDavid and continues to pound him when he is down on the ice trying to protect himself with the ref attempting to intervene and continues to throw punches.
Lucic would be looking at a 20+ game suspension. Absolute garbage!

Tkachuk targets their biggest player and Oilers fans want retaliation against the Flames smallest skill player? Oilers fans are such knobs.

I thought it was in Steve Moore territory. He was grabbed from behind and injured, people fell on him and continues punching.

The oilers are lucky it wasn't a scoreboard blowout at the time otherwise there would have been a couple of guys on the flames who would have felt as though the leash was off.

Man I love Tkachuk, the Oilers are talking about him more than their own team. I’ve even seen some posts wishing injury on him, I hope karma bites back at them for that.

Reminds me of that poll they had at the end of last season (think it was the Edmonton sun?) of what fans wanted to see most in the final game of the season, and one of the options was "Gaudreau to blow a knee".

The funniest part in them wanting to target our star players like Johnny is that once they open that door, we retaliate by targeting their star players.

Since Oiler fans can’t seem the count, that number is 2

The Oilers know they’d lose that war of attrition cause losing either McDavid or Drai would just end their season and we would still have our scoring depth. Lucky for us, Oiler fans are that stupid to not realize that

A little advice for Caveman.

Set aside a couple of hours and get the equipment manager to slowly and carefully, with an inordinate amount of repetitions, teach you how to properly latch your helmet strap.

And if that's what they give him, I wouldn't even care about a suspension.

But since he only got 4 minutes (the reffing in this league has completely lost it), I think a suspension is necessary. If the league had any consistency, it should be 5 games. But I think he'll get 2.
Should have been 5 and a game at least. By giving only 10, they also risked an incident later in the game.
