I MUST HAVE THIS. What did you use for parts?? I am amazed and astounded.
I'll have the invoice done for it at some point today I'll pm you what I used when it's done, I bought a lot of random stuff to test when building it so im sorting through haha.
I went with the Crucial one linked above. I really only need room for WOW + Win10.
Should be here on Thursday. Will pop by MemEx on Monday to get brackets and cables.
I think I can figure out how to clone my HDD from YouTube.
Mini update. Installed the RAM tonight. Went from 6GB to 15GB. The difference in performance in WOW is mind-blowing. Can zone in and fly around Dalaran with no lag.
Really looking forward to any additional gains that the SSD will bring.

Congrats. I'd expect the SSD improvement will be just as impressive; the first time booting an OS from a SSD and being able to use applications almost right away was an eye-opening experience for me and using systems that only have regular HDs almost become torturous.

Definitely. Going from an 8 year old HDD to a m.2 ssd was amazing. Even simple things like loading into a round of rainbow six taking half a second instead of about 10-15
A fitting end for a mediocre to bad company. Sucks for the employees however.
I would have a lot more sympathy for NCIX if they didn't run like 12 shady Amazon and eBay resellers out of the same warehouse. Only place where I ever had orders go missing or ship 6 weeks late.

Holy crap! I didn't know this happened. I used to live very close to the Burnaby location. I would buy all my computer products from there. The customer service was horrible. There was one time I bought a BenQ monitor from them for boxing day and there was horrible light bleed on it so I returned it and they didn't believe me because they were checking it during the day with all the lights on. I some how convinced them to turn off all the lights in the entire store and they eventually gave me my money back.
It’s no wonder they went out of business when they have a warehouse of useless crap. It’s funny how some of it is because of Linus making awful purchasing decisions.
Is there a good place in town to buy bulk networking supplies? Looking to get a bag of RJ45 plugs and boots. ME has some but they aren't that great and way to pricey. I know about Monoprice but not sure they are great either. Reviews didn't sound promising and hoping to pick up this weekend anyways.

I've only got about 10% of my game library on my 1TB SSD and it's nearly full. With 4K textures, a single game can be close to 100GB. Bring on crazy large drives I say.

Agreed. My 500gb m.2 is a terrific drive but 5-8 games can fill it completely
