I've been following Gleason and his story for years, really glad they are in touch and Chris can use him for support. Definitely emotional reading Kelsie's tweets this morning.

What a real life battle he and his family are fighting. Like all, praying for a miracle this last year, hope he knows how many people are keeping him and his family in our hearts.

This is a heavy read from Kelsie. ALS is just devastating for everyone involved. https://kelsiesnowwrites.com/2020/11...own-rising-up/

Really sad. But going back thru his tweets and hers, he's done amazing living with this disease. Kicking that football, lifting weights.

I didn't see it before, but his twitter says he wants to become Canadian and I don't know why but I really liked seeing that.

On top of being just a really great human being, not lost in this for me is how Chris is really good at his job.

He’s a former journalist so he is uniquely skilled to communicate the value in analytical insight. It doesn’t mean what he communicates will always been utilized, but I think he brings a perspective to the management team that makes everyone better communicators.

His strength and ability to remain optimistic is just amazing.
I doubt I would have nearly the same strength he has.
He says this is what winning looks like - but it is also what a true hero looks like.

I didn't know we had such a fantastic human as AGM. I wish him nothing but the best in this difficult circumstance.

What an inspiration he is sharing his story online and giving hope to sufferers everywhere.

He's a great guy, and co-worker and mentor of mine. Absolutely, he's the benchmark (And Kelsie) for what leadership looks like. When this is all said and done he will be one of the pioneers for what will eventually be a cure for ALS.

If you haven't contributed already, and have the money to do, it doesn't hurt to revisit the link. He has a goal to get up to $500k, and I think COVID put a bit of a roadblock on that with potential fundraising events being cancelled, push back. He's still been around $150k after the Trick Shot Campaign, but still lots of work to be done!

Anyways, heres the link:

I just am drawn to people with positivity like this. Especially when I would have a tough time being positive if i walked in their shoes.

I might be overstepping every bound imaginable, but is it possible to maybe get him to come onto CP for an AmA type of event? I just can't believe how inspiring this guy is, it would be an absolute pleasure to interact with him online.

Will donate to the campaign also.

Glad to see Chris is still battling hard. I mentioned in this thread my aunt had it, and at times it felt like it was getting worse day by day. For Chris to see improvements or stabilization in his condition over time is wonderful news.

Somewhat related: Back in 2015, I was at our campus and got to try out a tech demo of the same sort of chair built for the Saints' Steve Gleason -- who also has ALS -- using eye tracking tech.

Spoiler!

It's heartening to see progress being made on ALS, it really is a bastard.
