I still get chills watching this game, thinking about all of the what-if moments. I still watch these highlights thinking that Smyl or Tanti actually score in OT. It makes me think that if CGY loses this game, how it shapes me as a hockey fan.

A few random thoughts:

-We should kiss Vernies feet for the clinic he put on in the game. How anyone still dismisses the guy is beyond me.

- With that said, the muffin he gives up to tie it at 3 really wasn't his fault. It def bounces off of Beast's skate.

- It's clear that Vancouver was playing with nothing to loose and zero pressure, and it absolutely showed.

- I had also forgotten about the post Vancouver hit in OT as well.

- Chopper also played a hell of a game too. Guy was all over the puck

- That first goal Nordmark scores was an absolute beauty. Had forgotten all about that.

I love soccer too, but shouldn't this be in the other sports forum?

He, like all butt hurt Canuck fans, is trying to insinuate (incorrectly) that Otto kicked the winning goal in.

He did not.

I was merely appreciating the skill it takes to kick such a small object vs a ball. This was clearly some sort of MLS all-star game skills competition.

Holy crap, I was nervous enough watching that clip now...I can't even imagine watching that game live.

Vernon should've won the Conn Smythe on that OT alone.

That was great.

The overtime was ridiculous, as was Vernon, but to be fair he created half the Canuck chances with this puck handling.

Also funny to hear the announcers repeatedly note that the net was off the pegs when Patterson bowled McLean over. They don't even mention the goalie being rubbed out.

Mullen should have won it earlier in OT.

But before that, Canucks looked like they had won. What a thin line...
