First of all, I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday and managed to spend some quality time with those close to you.
As far as tennis is concerned, the United Cup is underway down under and Canada gets started later today versus Croatia. Felix and Leylah are leading the way for the Canadians.
Shapo is in Hong Kong playing the ATP 250 event. Gabriel Diallo is also in Hong Kong and may get direct entry into the main draw depending on if enough players withdraw. If that doesn't happen, he will be placed in the qualifying draw.
Here's to another season of tennis and hoping that our Canadians have a successful season on the ATP and WTA tours.

Liam Draxl is at the United Cup too. May not have real high end promise but keep an eye on him.
Draxl had a very good end to his 2024 season. I think he just missed out on being placed in qualifying for the Aussie Open, but with another good year at ATP Challenger events, he certainly has the potential to be a semi-regular guy on the ATP tour.
Leylah takes it 6-4 6-3 over Donna Vekic and played a very nice match today. Vekic looked a little off to be honest, but Leylah was really on her game today.
