I would think that the best approach would be to do the opener focused on the debate and make the emphasis on Biden so as not to poke Trump too much in his current. Of course they can include Trump and some of his major gaffes but make the opener all about Biden.

I like the way they did it... but the skit as a whole was a flop. Weird pacing. No flow.

Yeah, even the whole "ah, shut man" line could have had a better set-up. They just threw it in there. Considering they had six months of downtime, they could have thought of some better sketches.

The cold open was awful and went on forever. The monologue was disappointing and the sketches were forgettable. Hopefully they do better next week.

Wow is Jim Carey talented. I wonder how long he works on a character like that.
