It looks like there will be 8 new starters on D then?

Plus the loss of Davone.

In a word.....yikes.

It's going to be interesting, but there's still plenty of veterans on the defense with guys like Jamar Wall and Brandon Smith in the secondary and Junior Turner and Cordarro Law on the d-line. Cory Greenwood is relatively new to the Stamps, but he's a veteran as far as football experience is concerned and will help out the younger guys vying for linebacker positions. I think DD said it the other day that there are plenty of jobs up for grabs and we want to see young guys step up and take these opportunities.

Amazing how much turn over the Stamps have to do to their roster every year it seems.

Coaching staff as well.

Huff, DD and Bo can hopefully keep the wins coming.

I'd feel a lot better about it all if the Stamps were the 3 time defending Grey Cup champs like they should be. Still the 3 time defending Western champs though, and that's not a small feat given the strength of the Western conference every year.

It's funny, but the losses in 2016 and 2017 are probably balanced out by the unexpected wins in 2001 and 2008. All I know is that there seems to be a growing sentiment of fans of other teams who are tired of seeing the Stamps in the Grey Cup game and I hope the Stamps can just add a little more salt to those fans this season with another Grey Cup appearance in 2019.

I feel the losses are bigger this year and the Lions got a lot better. The defense bailed out the offense quite a bit over the past few seasons and I feel this season Bo and Company are going to have to do a lot more heavy lifting.

That 2008 team seems to get no historical respect. They had the best regular season record in the CFL that year (13-5) and came into the playoffs hot. Don't know which other team was 'expected' to win it that year if not the Stamps!

It was a very good Stamps team, but I think the Als were still favoured with being at home in front of a packed Olympic stadium filled with 65,000+ fans. It also provided us with this gem...

I think the underdog tag was largely manufactured. The Als were 11-7 that year and the Stamps beat them both times in the regular season. IMO BC and Saskatchewan were both considered ahead of Montreal as well. I suppose the crowd factor in the Grey Cup itself was on the Als side, but that alone hardly works against the fact that the Stamps that year were clearly the better team.
