The Wranglers are now locked into 7th spot in the Pacific Division and will play either Tucson or Ontario in the first round.
Tucson has one game remaining, tonight at home against San Jose. Ontario has 2 games remaining, tonight and tomorrow in Colorado.
If Tucson gets at least as many points as Ontario tonight, the Wranglers will face Tucson. If Ontario gets more points than Tucson tonight, the Wranglers will need to wait until tomorrow to find out their opponent.
San Jose has nothing to play for. Colorado can clinch home ice in the first round with a win and can pass Ontario in the standings with 2 regulation wins.

Man that is some tough luck for whoever gets the Wranglers. Have a great year, play the 7th seed and all of a sudden they add arguably the best goalie in the AHL, a real solid d man, a monster who can score goals, and a natural goal scorer.

Tuscon, who may be their 1st round opponent, added 5 players from the Coyotes, including Doan, Guenther, Raty and Kesselring. That will be Tuscon's top 3 forwards and #1 defensemen
None of the Pacific games have been scheduled because none of the matchups are finalized, but the earliest game scheduled so far in the other Divisions is Tuesday.
Ontario doesn't have any dates on their website, but Tucson's says their games will be Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.
Currently, Ontario is up 4-0 late in the second and Tucson is trailing 2-1 late in the first.

Sounds like we need to play Ontario based on what's occurred in the past from memory.
Get past the Reign and we have seemingly a good opportunity to win it all.
I want to see Wolf go.into God mode and get a Calder cup championship 🙏 under his belt so he can make thr jump with confidence and less questions about whether he can do it.
Yes he still has to play those games once he becomes a full time NHL player but I'd love to see him prove allot of naysayers AFR.
Love to see thr Dome filled for ANY games here....wish the AHL format was different

All three games in Tucson. I forgot the AHL playoff format sucks
Yup, and the stupid best of 3 to start. I might buy a playoff pass for round 2 but I am not shelling out a bunch of money for the playoffs if Calgary doesn't move past round 1.
The teams that are closer travel between games (like Ontario and Bakersfield). The Wranglers get the "home ice change" for game 2, but I don't know how much that matters.
Tucson and Calgary played 4 times during the season, with each winning 2. Each team won 1 at home and 1 on the road. The Wranglers' road win was in OT.
Dansk had a 1-1 record and Wolf had a 1-1 record (with one SO).
