The Kingdom. I thought they did a decent job at presenting the American view point and the Middle Eastern viewpoint. They obviously focused on the American views, but I remember that movie really sticking with me. The 'attack' scene was disturbingly real. The kidnapping scene was disturbingly real. Really stuck with me.

Boondock Saints. I remember having a long discussion about vigilante justice after watching that movie.

Contact makes you think too, but if you get what Gattaca is all about (and unfortunately the tag line in the advertisements hits you over the head with it), at the end, you'll sit and reflect about your life and the life of those around you. All the while you just watched this 1984ish sci-fi movie.

That's what I thought too- until I read an interview with the director suggesting it may also have been his way of being greeted by death/god. Audiences were pretty split on which interpretation they believed
