But it stars numerous Canadian actors and is about Canada and Canadiana.

I guess it depends on what we define as a Canadian movie?

Trailer Park Boys movies, for some reason I love them. Watch the Christmas special every year.

Seriously? I love Chris Makepeace! Meatballs, My bodyguard, Vamp. He was a guy you instantly rooted for.

You should ask him how the hell Robert Rusler never became a star. That guy was a scene stealer in the 80s.

Are you serious? Or did you just want to mention the sequel? It was easily the worst of the three. Made no sense, the effects somehow took a step backwards as did the acting.

There was a third one too. It was called Cube Zero as it was supposed to be a prequel. Gave a little insight to what was going on. Wasn't very good either though.

The first was a classic. As mentioned, mostly because of the concept. A great idea to tell a story around and a great suspense premise.

Gotta agree with your take on Passchendale (sp?) though.

ONE WEEK tells the story of 20-something Ben Tyler (Joshua Jackson), who flees from an impending marriage, a ho-hum job, and a recent diagnosis in an attempt to live life to the fullest. His misguided road trip on a vintage motorcycle becomes an adventure of self-discovery set against the great Canadian landscape.

No I am not serious. The only thing great about Cube 2 is the name, which is why I mentioned it.

Haha, ok. That's why I had to ask.

Ever see the third one?

I watched the three of them, and the third one was okay I suppose. I don't remember a ton about it, but it does fill in some of the holes in the first movie. Like you said the concept is interesting once again, but the acting is horrific (comical dialogue at times) and the movie is even cheaper than the first one. I did have a thing for Leaven though.

I would watch future sequels though, I'm a sucker for stuff like that.

Yeah me too. A completionist for sure.

Third was better than the second, but only a bit. First, don't care what anyone says, is fantastic. It's brilliant. It's just low budget. Know that going in, and it's a first rate movie. Considering we live in a world of Transformer effects orgies that have no thought behind them, and it should be held up as a model of filmmaking
