I enjoy some of her music, but that song in particular is generically awful.
No kidding. Sounds like a jingle for a commercial. It was painful but I watched the entire video and I don't get the racist comments. The only think I could conclude is that possibly some are offended that there wasn't a black ballerina as everything else was fairly standard stuff and mixed race.
These are the tweets people are talking about... I've taken the liberty of bolding the important part.

EARL @earlxsweat haven't watched the taylor swift video and I don't need to watch it to tell you that it's inherently offensive and ultimately harmful

perpetuating black stereotypes to the same demographic of white girls who hide their prejudice by proclaiming their love of the culture

for instance, those of you who are afraid of black people but love that in 2014 it's ok for you to be trill or twerk or say #####
Well I gotta hand it to her. That's going to be a huge hit. Prepare to hear it on the radio ad nauseum people.
You know, the girl has talent, she can actually write a little too. It's just such a shame that she chooses such infantile subject matter. I can't wait for her to mature. She could be so much more interesting then.
The largest segment of her fan base is girls between the ages of 9 and 15. Those girls love to hear these types of songs. She might be talented enough to expand her musical range but she has to pander to her main fans because they are the ones watching the videos, making their own cover videos and buying (or asking for) concert tickets.
Sometimes I think that people really don't understand what racist really means, but they throw around the term because it makes the world stop and listen to them and agree with them because if they don't they're racists too.

There was a black rapper dude but honestly if she would have used a white guy it would have looked Vanilla Ice cringe inducing. Maybe they could have thrown in a black ballerina but as Captain said I believe these people are just using racism as an excuse to complain about an artist they may not care for.

Yeah, it's really hard to dance and sing. It's basically like exercising and then expecting to carry a tune. I can barely talk when I'm jogging. Obviously someone like Beyonce is an elite talent but it's not like she's horrible.
Didn't she perform at the grammy awards and before a ballad? That would be a fair assessment of her singing skills.
