Aldo missed his chance when he still was in the picture, he's all but in Conor's past. Aldo isn't a PPV draw outside of Brazil and Conor doesn't need him. Aldo is nothing more than a backup plan if he ever needs it
Does he deserve a rematch, no. He had his chance and thats a lot more than other fighters get. He needs to start cleaning house again and make the public demand the fight. If there's big PPV dollars the fight will happen
Should Conor be stripped of the title, no question. But very much like Conor said that if the UFC strips him of the title and hands it to a guy he ko'd in 13 seconds it pretty much deflates the whole division.
Too many fighters lining up to cash the golden ticket, Aldo needs to make the fight worth more money for the line to start behind him again

Bottom line is that Aldo has held up the featherweight division for 13 months or more on two separate occasions, so he can stop crying anytime. .
Didn't injuries play a part in both of those though? Holding up the division because you're physically unable to fight is a lot different than holding it up because you refuse to defend it.
UFC is in a tough spot. new owners want to make the money and McGregor is their only real draw.
UFC can't play hardball with McGregor because they don't have Rousey. Jones has been a trainwreck. Silva got old. GSP retired. Miocic lacks charisma.
McGregor will get what he wants for the forseeable future, but if the UFC keeps ticking off legitimate talent like Aldo, it will hurt the brand in the not distant future.

Avoided, countered and did way more damage landed a much better % of his significant strikes.
It was close enough to be almost even, and the agressor usually gets bonus points. If a guy is going to be on the bike the whole fight he better have a big edge in strikes.

Interesting that the UFC did not announce this fight as the main event, instead leaving it open: http://www.ufc.com/event/ufc-206
The obvious guess is that the main event will involve GSP
GSP insinuated that an announcement will be made next week. Speculation includes Anderson Silva
I'm past wanting to see GSP fight Silva. I'd rather see him fight Bisping. Bisping seems up for it as well. Hopefully, he doesn't take too much damage tonight.
Damn, really wanted to see Dan Henderson finally get his UFC gold. He's about as decorated as a Mixed Martial Artist as we've seen but came up short in three title fights.
I would have gave it to Henderson but I hate Bisping so that might be why. It's too bad he couldn't have finished him the two chances he got so it wouldn't have had to go to the judges.

Rumour is going around that McGregor was knocked out during training, this past weekend. Depending on the severity of the KO, it would be at least a few months to recover. It's not looking good for his upcoming fight with Alvarez.
Update: This was a false story put out by the McGregor camp to mess with a certain reporter. Sly devils.
