Ugh. I take it all back. This show is goddamn brutal. It is a cinematic kick in the gut.
Spoiler!
That scene at the AA meeting where she is going through withdrawal and the old woman sells her Oxy in the bathroom? Never before have I so badly wanted to throw something at my TV other than Flames playoff games.

John DiMaggio hasn’t signed on to do Bender yet. Hopefully that gets sorted out because the show wouldn’t be the same without him.
Yeah, I've got to read more about this. He is one of the primary cast and everyone else signed on.
So...is he just holding out for more? Did they lowball him? It just seems odd.
The thing is, DiMaggio is a highly successful voice-actor, its not like he's hard-up for work.
I did read that they sent out a casting call for Bender to re-cast his voice but from all appearances other voice actors are avoiding it, almost like being a Scab which shows the kind of respect DiMaggio has in the industry.

I've watched a lot of Documentaries and read up on the origination of the Opioid Crisis but holy hell does this show not hesitate to kick your teeth in.

Ya, same here. I thought I was rather knowledgeable about the opioid crisis, but man that series really opened my eyes.
So it turns out that most of the shows I enjoy have some form of military in it. Whether it be CIA, Special Ops, Navy, etc. shows such as 24, The Unit, Homeland and just recently Jack Reacher. I've watched quite a few but what are some other shows you people recommend in this category?
Also speaking of The Unit is that show on any steaming device?

Similar to combat! is "the rat patrol" from the late 60s
More recent ones are the Americans (Soviet spies living in the US in the 80's) and Deutschland 83 (East German spy in the 80's)
Both are more spy than military per se, but are great spy shows
Started watching Inventing Anna on the weekend. It's pretty bad. I won't finish. It's a cool story (if you didn't know it already) but the writing is bad (Shonda Rimes) and the character work is somehow less bad

I paid zero attention to this simply due to the subject matter, but seeing those names attached and finally watching the trailer I'll have to check it out now

Finally got around to a Station Eleven and loved it. I’m a sucker for post-apocalyptic stories and they’ve been done to death recently but this felt really fresh. It was nice to see a little light in the doom and gloom of the genre.

The White Lotus is a weird show. I appreciated the cinematogrophy and it was interesting for the most part, I just don't know what the viewer is supposed to take away from it. I found its point to be very enigmatic.
