Wow, what an epically satisfying payoff to the Catherine documentary subplot!

Just got tickets to An Evening with the Cast of Veep at Just For Laughs festival in Montreal end of July.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tony Hale, Timothy Simons and exec producer David Mandel.
I expect to laugh

Those last two episodes were absolute gold, but now what do they do for next season?

They were brilliant. Fantastic end to the season.
It's got to be all about finding the missing Nevada votes (mentioned in credits) that has Selina winning the state, and therefore the Presidency?

You need to rewatch!
While the credits were rolling and the new president was heading into the oval office, that crazy guy they hired to be the guy in charge of looking after the voting in Nevada walked by, thoughts the new president was still Selina, and said: 'btw we found those misding votes in Nevada. You won Selina. Congratulations'
Or something like that.
I'll watch again and get it exactly right.
Maybe I read it all wrong. Maybe it was just a little more irony...

I may have misinterpreted it - it just made sense to me as a storyline heading toward next season.
Or, yup, it was just an episode of dementia

Yeah, Mull's character was senile.
The showrunner has said that the plan for next year is to follow Selina in her post-presidential life. I don't know how they'll fit that in while still following everyone. Presumably, some characters will have to be dropped along the way.

When will the missing documentary footage come into play as well?

The second half of the season was a real bummer.

great show, love it.
I thought maybe it was gong to turn out that the new president was an illegal Mexican, but then the last line of the show, that they found the missing votes, would make sense for another season.

Veep a very deserving winner (again) of best comedy, as well as Julia Louis Dreyfus as lead actress (again).
Absolutely the best comedy on TV, though it may be the gratuitous swearing I appreciate the most.

JLD has won best actress for Veep five times in a row. As long as this show is on the air everybody else might as well go home.
Edit: looks like she now stands alone for the most comedy Emmys ever, ahead of some elite company...
7 - JLD
6 - Betty White
5 - Candice Bergen, Mary Tyler Moore

I've seen a coupe of articles including this one suggesting JLD should step down and withdraw herself from Emmy contention starting next year to give others a shot at winning. It has been done before.
I dunno, I wasn't pleased when Modern Family won 4 in a row cause I think that show is hot garbage. If you're not a fan of Veep maybe you'd feel the same way about JLD. Modern Family of course did not withdraw, they simply started losing to Veep.
If she's the best, I think she should continue to clean up the category.

What a dumb article. She owes it to her show and colleagues to keep trying to win Emmy's to increase viewership. Stepping down would be disgraceful. She is paid to win Emmy's.
