My kids love the pizza at Beer Revolution off 130th.

That's literally why BP exists. You can commiserate with the other parents.

Their pizza was awful in the 90s. Got better in the 2000s but hasn't kept up with other places.

This thread should never be on the third page of this sub!

As per 81MC, stay away from Papa Johns lol.

I tried Bow Tie Pizza (on center st. and Mcknight) last week. There's a location in Montgomery as well.

More greek style pizza. Pan baked thicker crust pizza's with good ingredients. No complaints really. Fair prices and good pies. Give them a try if you're in the area(s).

I gave Bow Tie a try. I thought it was good, but the tomato sauce was more tangy than I personally prefer.

Work always brings in Papa John's so I eat it a fair bit and it's never been terrible and more mediocre than anything. I feel it's kind of in the middle of not as good as Panago and better than Pizza 73/Dominos.

The key with Pizza73 is to switch the crust to the SuperPan and not their cardboard regular crust.

But in reality, there's no reason to be eating their pizza (well, besides relative cheapness) with so many other good choices.

I think Papa johns is the best garbage Pizza

Better than Dominos, Pizza 73, Little Caesar’s. Paragons and with there coupon codes they practically give it away.

Sometimes garbage pizza is just what you need.

Also for real Pizza Atlas is terrible and overpriced.

I would gladly eat Dominos and Pizza 73 over papa john's. Dominos is a lot better than it used to be, their thin crust is not bad as well.

Little Caesar's really is awful though.

Dominoes is way better these days. However Dominoes and Papa Johns suffer the same problem in the chain pizza category - When they make it bad, it's really bad.

I can't explain the exact issue, but they both have this dried out texture and taste with cheese, toppings and crust all kind of separated a little bit. You know it as soon as you open the box.

Domino's is just awful.
The crust is always full of giant air pockets, their sauce is weirdly sweet, and it's just generally ultra greasy.
I would take little Caesars (also awful) over Domino's. I would take 90's pizza 73 over Domino's (not sure if anyone remembers how awful pizza 73 was in the 1990).

I've had some excellent (by chain pizza standards) pizzas at Dominoes in Canyon Meadows. The last two time have been bad for some reason, but generally those guy know how to get the most out of the standard Dominoes cooking methods.

With chain pizza places it literally is the cooking that makes or breaks it, because the prep work is calculated down to the gram. Pizza Hut doesn't realize that the more cooked their pizza is the better it is. The best pizzas I've had from them have been very well done.

They're pizza slightly undercooked is disgusting as their cheap toppings do this weird melting thing and have the texture of a microwaved dinner, yet they straddle the line for no discernable reason.

Nikos Pizza and POW Pizza are my favourites right now.

Have you tried Dominos lately? They've made a lot of efforts to increase the quality of their pizza:

https://www.inc.com/cynthia-than/dom...our-trust.html

I agree with jayswin, that the key is getting the pizza "well done" though.

It's crap pizza, but significantly less crappy than Pizza 73, Ceasear's, BPs, etc..

Dominos has been much better over the last 4 or 5 years imo. I stick to thin crust if I ever indulge in pizza. Maybe that’s the key with Dominos. Stay away from doughy crusts.

I like the pan, but has to be well done.

Had Dominoes last week. The pan pizza is infinetly better than the regular "hand tossed" crust. Basically a pizza hut knockoff, but dang, tasty for chain joint.

Wish some better independent joints existed here - we basically have the choice between:

- Giant Chains
- 1 million Greek style pizza joints or
- Neapolitan (or inspired) pizza (Famoso, Una, etc)

Anywhere else independent has priced themselves out of the market. $30 for a pie? GTFO

I’m in full agreement. There’s a place in the NW that opened up last summer called Carmine’s. They make a great pie but the prices are astronomical. To feed a small get together it will likely run ~$100. Blasphemy.
