If we go up against a heavy opponent in PO then I play Stone and Prout at 6/7. Think Fantenburg was acquired for depth, if we're playing a more speed/skill opponent then I play him and consider Valimaki/Kylington in a #7 role. If Stone is 100% I play him regardless, but that remains to be seen.

Think Giordano-Andersson is the top pairing going forward. Next three games I think will be guys getting paired with Brodie to see who is most effective on the third pairing.

6th defenceman debate is a good problem to have.

I really like the depth on defense. To me this one was more of a question of who would you least likely want to see, which would be Prout for me.

I struggled over Fantenberg and Stone in the poll, so I chose Fantenberg because he has played more this year.

Tonight's game sounds like the start of an audition to see who gets to be #6.

Brodie gives Peters options with his versatility.

Giordano - Brodie
Hanifin - Hamonic
Fantenberg - Andersson

If Peter wants more ruggedness or experience in the line-up, he can easily throw this out:

Giordano - Andersson
Hanifin - Hamonic
Brodie - Prout/Stone

Andersson has been really good next to Giordano, and though he may or may not be quite ready for full-time duty there, he is at least a good option for stretches. Brodie provides Prout and Stone with a partner that is more experienced and better able to help transition that puck quicker.

Valimaki and Kylington I think are going to be spectators in the playoffs unless injuries hit. Awesome depth to have, however, they are both relatively inexperienced. I do think they will get rotated in when other defencemen are just banged-up a bit but otherwise could play - but I do expect them to be scratched for most of the play-offs.

Really is going to be interesting to see who starts - Fantenberg or Prout/Stone. I guess it will be dependent on who the opponent is, and how the match-ups end up going.

I would say my order of preference is:
1) Stone
2) Valimaki
3) Fantenberg
4) Kylington
5) Prout

I don't even mind Prout.

I'm not too concerned about who they end up playing. Like many previous posters have said, I think it depends on a number of factors, and I'm sure Peters will choose whatever makes the most sense.
