Well, in fairness if this were real, can't really imagine another opportunity for Fox to immediately jump in as a teams #1 D-man straight out of college. So in that regards could be a smart move.............but maybe not for his long term NHL development.

Meh I could see it. Knowing the oil they would definitely offer him as much money as possible, and he'd undoubtedly have an easy time securing top pairing there (just have to perform in pre season lol).
I'm also positive that playing for the Oilers would ruin his confidence and therefore the biggest asset to his playing style.
I know it's an April fools joke but I say bring it on!
