I think over the next 3 years Jets could easily become the #1 Canadian rival for the Flames.

Monahan V Schiefle
Brodie V Trouba
Gaudreau V Ehlers
Morrison V Morrisey
Bennett V Petan

Gio/Hudler/Wideman/Backlund V Byfuglien/Myers/Wheeler/Ladd

Will be fun

It would be epic is the Jets and Flames met in Round 2. I would probably have to take a sabbatical from CP out of respect for Flames fans here, as tensions would start to run high after a couple of games, I am sure.

Nope, can't take a sabbatical. You have to post here to continue the craziness from the Flames-Canucks series. Having the Flames-Jets go at it in round 3 would be better but this silly quasi division format ruins that chance.

So this year, and 04, the only Canadian team not to make it in were the Oilers?

Hah!

What I think is more interesting is the high turnover in playoff teams from last year to this year. Los Angeles, Dallas, San Jose, Colorado, Philadelphia, Boston and Columbus all missing this year. Unreal.
