Pro: Another young Cavalry player moved on means quality young players will continue to come here. League record transfer fee is great for the bottom line.

Con: Can you just stop selling your talented players mid-####ing season?

Does that mean he’s not actually injured?
According to the CPL article, he does actually have a grade 2 thigh strain that likely would have held him out for the rest of the season. The injury was one of the reasons the Cavs were willing to make the move now.

We have one typically 90% of the games. Anyone would be welcome to join, sometimes we have extra beer but bringing a couple of your own is typically a good idea. Sometimes I'll have extra chairs, just depends on how many people stop by. We also typically have a drink after the game as well waiting for parking lot to clear. I should mention that we always have DD's! This year I've actually brought my smoker out a couple of times now too, including last game.

If anyone ever want to join just stop by or message me on here. We always setup in the officer's club so very easy to find, can pretty much guarantee everyone here has seen our setup.

Although now that I say that next game is the only game I'll be missing this year, and seeing as my friends are pretty unorganized I don't know if they'll tailgate next game! But after that I should be there early enough to tailgate the last few games of the year.

I'm a little torn. I want to win, and as a supporter that's the main thing! But, for the league, it's awesome that Cavalry keeps having these great young players to see and help push toward bigger and better things. It's really the point of the league. It would be better if this was more of a league-wide way of doing things, but some clubs seem to just want to win the CPL and the player development and moving up seems like a distant second thought.

Hoping incentives means loaning a young player who helps us win championships.

In the range of $500k plus incentives for Ntignee. That's enough to get like 6 beers at Spruce...

Given the incredible development factory that the Cavs have turned into, I would say that there's probably many, many football clubs out there at all levels with eyes on ATCO Field now. If I was a young player, I'd absolutely come here and leverage a CPL opportunity as a platform for moving upwards.

Also, I was at the the Cavs golf tourney and Tommy is totally excited about the possibility of Messi playing here during Champions League. Everyone seems to be. The team is totally looking forward to that it seems (maybe even moreso than the chance at winning the league champsionship). In the infinitely small possibility that actually happened, I doubt Inter would even need/let him on the pitch here at all.

I'm just curious if it's reasonable for someone to be a starter for more than half a season before they need to get out of here. Absolutely don't want to stand in the way of people moving on.

BTW, I believe these guys get picked off (Loturi, Pelle, Ntignee) when they do because of the European transfer window and the season scheduling. It sucks it usually happens halfway through a Cavs season, but, such is tradition.

You have to admire the Cavs ability to sell players though. We've sold players to teams in the MLS, SPL, EFL and now Ligue 2.

On that note, I feel bad for Pepple though. Luton Town is in the EPL and he got loaned to Brownley, which is in the 5th tier National League.

So, how long until Kobza is sold? End of the year? Summer next year?

Kobza is an interesting one. The talent is there but not sure what his long term position will be yet. Does he stick at centre back and develop there, or back to midfield?

I could see Kozba back next year, and that's when he's moved. I could also see Klomp moving on somehow after this season (although I don't want that). Just a hunch though!

If the Cavs go on to sell more young talented players this season and pass up the chance at a championship I am going to be so bitter.

Cavalry scoring in Ottawa is what happens when I turn off the game to BBQ.
