If Klimchuk can prove that he can kill penalties at an NHL level he might just carve a spot out for himself.

Lol, deadlifts are esential for lower body/core strength. If a hockey player isn't doing deadlifts in the off season there's a problem. Now Deadlifts could become problematic if the injury hasn't fully healed or if someone is lifting more than their body can handle but Monahan is training with probably multiple trainers so I doubt this is the case.

I can't see it. Not because he doesn't have the skills but he is made of glass and I don't see him being able to withstand the physical play at the NHL level when he can't do it at lower levels.

There was once a time that Michael Backlund was also made of glass.

Backlund is the perfect example of not giving up on a player.

Well, we still know virtually nothing about why he took a maintenance day. It is a little concerning, but I imagine that this is not nearly as serious as his injury status was last year heading into the season.

I doubt its an maintenance day, its probably an minor injury of some sort.
Remember the coach wants the veterans to play 4 games.

Who has taken over Textcritic's account? Clearly, the standards have been lowered.
