Seach feature in CP sucks
Specifically the characters you have to enter to complete a search...they are the most @#$%^#@ difficult characters to pick out...I need 4+ tries to get any search completed...
Am I just dim?
edit: Since I spelled 'Search' incorrectly in thread title I answered my own question...

I find the verification text hard to read as well. If you log in, however, you won't need to enter the text.

If you use google, after your search word put " site:forum.calgarypuck.com" and you can use google to search CP.
It doesn't allow you to search each sub-forum, but it is fast

Yeah if you log in you shouldn't get the verification thing.
And google works well to, plus saves on our server resources

I was doing a search for the G.I. Joe movie thread yesterday, and the engine would not let me search for G.I. or Joe. I ended up having to search "movie" and scrolled through about 7-8 pages of threads to find it. That 4 character minimum is a real bugger sometimes.

Agreed. Never really have had a problem with what the original poster in this thread was mentioning, but that 4 character minimum has driven me up the wall in the past.

You can use wildcards such as * or ? to get around that.

I get that if I'm running through a proxy.
If you want to see the same thing, go to google and put the following in the search box:
G.I. Joe site:forum.calgarypuck.com

Haha, I have no idea what a proxy is.
The G I Joe thing worked, but if I type in something like '2004 Stanley cup final gamethread site:forum.calgarypuck.com' and scroll through the search results, that 'error' is what eventually comes up.
