Haven't seen him play, but noticed that he got into a fight after his big loss, so it's encouraging that he isn't gun shy to fight again.

I resisted opening this thread because it was missing the "Fricken"

Seems like a big plus player so far, anyone know his total numbers?

Scored the game winner last night for the Royals. Didn't see that game, saw him the night before though. He wasn't overly noticeable. Didn't make any glaring errors, made a couple kids pay the price along the boards.

Dug up his stats:
GP: 20, Goals: 2, Assists: 1, Points: 3, +8 (first on team), 44 PIM (3rd on team)

The top +/- on the team has to be a big positive..

Not only that, but I believe he plays the hardest minutes as well. I remember the scouting report on him when the Flames drafted him was something like "1st year was horrible".. "2nd year played the toughest minutes on the team and did well". Paraphrasing of course.

Don't know if this has been posted anywhere else but looks like Kanzing wanted to start something and has two guys on him before another fight broke out and they switch the camera to that bout.

A tad truculent I'd say.

I don't know why but that clip reminded me of the "how many 12 year olds could you fight at one time" thread. Love the third guy that jumps on his back.

yeah the big scrum goes off screen so is hard to tell what happens and why he got the suspension?

What I like in the video is when they show Kanzig in the penalty box beside one of his teammates, he looks like a man beside a 12 year old there. Talk about a beast! I look forward to seeing his progression at camp.

Edit: Guess probably for starting the whole scrum in the first place....

Kanzig > Breen potential wise. Looks like he can skate, and I like the truculence as well.

Victoria was just eliminated by Portland. Expect Kanzig to be reassigned Friday.

If he works on his speed like Granlund did, and can make similar improvements, then he could be a real beast back there. If that doesn't improve, you have a slightly better version of Breen.
