I have no clue what y'all are talking about. We have Spring all the time.
Literally every day in April looks like this
5am-10am: Spring thawing snow
10am-4pm: +15 and sunny, early Summer
4pm-7pm: Starts to get chilly, it's Autumn again
7pm-5am: Winter blizzards and freezing ice on roads

Someone tell me what's supposed to be so great about spring, anyway? Even in places that have a textbook spring, it's just a cooler, rainier version of summer. Yeah, it's got tulips. And... what else?
If I get a long, crisp autumn, I'm okay with whatever the weather ends up being the rest of the year.

Well I haven't put up a FB profile pic filter but will be voting yes even though I think having a non binding postal vote on marriage equality is incredibly stupid and ridiculous.
Haha I've lived in both Brisbane and Sydney. They have pretty much identical weather with Brisbane being on average about 4 degrees warmer. Sydney is nicer in the summer and Brisbane is nicer in the winter.

Yeah, a lot of places that have a nice, green spring also have a rainy, gloomy autumn. While spring in Calgary sucks, autumn makes up for it. The weather in Calgary on a nice day in September or October is about perfect.

Its the summer for me. July and August are about the only two months you can count on for great weather, and even in July it can be pretty rainy.
And by great weather I mean you can just leave the house in shorts and a t-shirt and not worry about it.
Even somewhere like Kelowna has a golf season that is months longer.
Alberta would be the perfect place to live in the world if we had 6 months or summer and 2 months of winter, not the other way around.
Snow from November to April is just too much.

Over here in DC, spring is significantly nicer than summer. Day time highs are usually in the low to mid 20s Celsius, humidity is usually a manageable 40-60% or so during the day. The wind has usually died down, the grass is green, you have various flowers springing up and a significant amount of the city is pink with cherry blossoms. In terms of rain, it's usually fairly consistent year round, so it's not like it's worse in the spring. In fact, I think summer might be the wettest season over here.
The summer however, has many weeks where the heat is oppressive. People don't stay home because of the weather in the spring, but they definitely do in the summer. Over here and in most part of the wold, hotter definitely doesn't equal better.

Does this ever make national media? I could see a lot of butthurt in Vancouver and Toronto.

That's cool. Here's the breakdown of the top ten...
And unfortunately, you can't see the whole list unless you pay.

No, as these lists get published literally every month by a different party with different criteria.
It makes the local news for a day and then goes away until the next one gets realeased.

Based on that list it looks like Calgary edges out Toronto and Vancouver in infrastructure . . . Does that include homes and real estate?

I wonder how Toronto and Vancouver make the list with their prohibitively expensive real estate.

Probably because at least you only need to get one mortgage, not a mortgage for both your house and your heart operation.
